Each instrument has its own unique personality. The type of wood, finishes, tuners and strings create uniqueness in a custom built instrument.
In our consultation we will confer and select the type of materials, finishes and any extras that suits your needs and desires. Once we have established the type of build and a price, a minimum 20% non-refundable deposit will be required to secure the materials for your custom instrument.
I build one instrument at a time so I can give my complete attention to that instrument. Once I am ready to build your instrument, another 30% non-refundable deposit will be required prior to commencing the project. The remainder 50% shall be due prior to releasing the instrument to its new owner.
I use a French Polish finish on these instruments. I can complete with a matte finish or a high gloss finish. Completion of a instrument averages between 4-8 weeks depending on the type of finish.
